Allaire caps regular season with final Diver of the Week award
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The undefeated diver for the Plymouth State University women's swimming and diving team has been voted the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Diver of the Week for the final week of the regular season.
Sophomore Casey Allaire (Mattapoisett, Mass.) continued her stellar season on the board with another pair of wins during the team's dual meet victory over Western Connecticut State University last Saturday.
Allaire kicked off her day with a victory on the 1-meter board, totaling 222.35 points, before accumulating 229.30 points at 3-meters to sweep the diving competition yet again. Allaire has won every diving event she's entered this season. This is her second NEISDA Diver of the Week award. She has also been named Little East Conference (LEC) Diver of the Week five times.
Allaire will look to secure her first LEC diving title on Saturday when the team competes at the LEC Championships at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She finished second in the 3-meter dive last year with 206.10 points, after taking third in the 1-meter diver with a score of 217.00.
