Allaire selected Diver of the Week

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – After helping the Plymouth State women's swimming and diving team secure its best finish at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Championships in nine years, senior Casey Allaire (Mattapoisett, Mass.) has earned Little East Conference (LEC) weekly recognition by being named the Diver of the Week.

Allaire earned a pair of silver medals at the NEISDA Championships over the weekend. She scored 347.60 to finish second on the 1-meter board on Saturday, then totaled 364.30 at 3-meters on Sunday.

Allaire caps off a great season, and even more spectacular career, with her fifth Diver of the Week award this winter. In 34 meets over her four years, Allaire swept the diving competition 27 times, placing first at 3-meters 30 times and winning on the 1-meter board 28 times. Of her eight career appearances at NEISDAs she has won four gold medals, placed second three times and took third once. She also owns four Little East Conference (LEC) titles, three LEC runners-up and a third place at the LEC Championships.

The NEISDA Championships marks the end of a great year for the Plymouth State University women's swimming and diving team. The Panthers posted a dual meet record of 6-3 marking the second most wins in the last decade. PSU placed fourth at the LEC Championship, the best showing since the 2006-07 season, while the 12th place finish at the NEISDA Championship was its highest since finishing ninth in 2009-10.
