Al Switzer resigned as the head swimming and diving coach at Plymouth State in April 2018 after 27 years at the helm.
"After 62 years of coaching swimming, it's become more difficult physically," said the 88-year old Switzer at the time. "I still have a love and passion for the sport, but I feel it's time to turn the program over. I hope to stay involved with diving."
Switzer got his wish when current head coach Anne Barbeau asked the four-time New England Women's Diving Coach of the Year to remain active with the program as a Coach's Aide with the divers, a position he begins for the first year in 2018-19.
