PSC falls at Southern Maine

GORHAM, Maine - Plymouth State College's women's tennis team fell back to the .500 mark Wednesday, dropping a 6-3 decision to the University of Southern Maine.

The win improved USM's record to 7-2, while the Panthers are now 4-4.

PSC earned all three of its victories in singles. Freshman Katie Olsen (Reading, MA) improved her team-best record to 6-1 with a win at No. 2 singles, and sophomore Sadie Roy (Lewiston, Maine) picked up a victory by default at No. 1 singles. Senior Jamie Hupper (Merrimack, NH) needed a tie-breaker in the third set to win her match at No. 5 singles.

The Panthers are back in action Saturday (Oct. 7) at Rhode Island College (12 p.m.). PSC returns home on Monday (Oct. 9) to host Saint Anselm (3 p.m.).
