            BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – The Plymouth State University women's tennis team dropped its Little East Conference opener Thursday afternoon, falling to Bridgewater State University, 7-2, at BSU's Rosen Courts.

PSU HIGHLIGHTS

* Sophomore Irene Ireme (Concord, N.H.) battled to a tough 5-7, 6-3, 10-5 victory at the top flight for Plymouth State.

* Freshman Alex Dunn (Jaffrey, N.H.) won in straight sets at number five, 6-0, 6-3.

* The win marked the first collegiate coaching victory for BSU first-year head coach David Purpura.

* The host Bears captured all three doubles matches and four of the six singles flight to record the conference win.
