PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Junior Caitlyn Miller (Lee, N.H.) and the Plymouth State University women's indoor track & field 4x400 relay team were all honored by the Little East Conference (LEC) after their performances at the season-opening PSU Winter Classic on Saturday.

Miller was named the Track Rookie of the Week, while the 4x400 relay team was recognized as the Relay Team of the Week as Plymouth State took second in its season opener.

In her first collegiate track meet Miller paced the field in the mile run. She was able to outsprint the competition down the stretch to finish first with a time of 5:42.64.

Miller was also part of the Panthers' 4x400 meter relay team. Joined by freshmen Zoe Boyer (South Berwick, Maine) and Jessica Bradley (Portland, Ore.) and sophomore Claire Greineder (East Greenwich, R.I.), the foursome came close to a school record while beating its closest competition, NCAA Division II Franklin Pierce, by nearly 14 seconds after crossing the line in 4:25.87.

With 167 points on the day, Plymouth State finished first among D-III schools at the meet and trailed overall leader Franklin Pierce by just nine points.

The Panthers are off for final exams and the winter recess before heading to the Middlebury Winter Classic on Jan. 11.
