Miller named Rookie of the Week for fourth time
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – After a strong performance at the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championship over the weekend, junior Caitlyn Miller (Lee, N.H.) has earned Little East Conference (LEC) weekly recognition by being named the Track Rookie of the Week.
Miller continued her dynamic season with another record-setting performance at the regional championship on Friday night. She placed 17th in the 5000-meter run after shaving more than eight seconds off her school record time, crossing the line in 18:35.40.
Miller also competed on Saturday, running the anchor leg for Plymouth State's 4x800-meter relay team which finished in 11th place with a time of 10:18.55. She wraps up her inaugural campaign as the school record holder in the mile run, 3000-meter run, 5000-meter run and as part of the fastest 4x800-meter relay team in school history.
The honor is her fourth Track Rookie of the Week award of the season.
The weekend marked the conclusion of the women's indoor track & field season as many of the athletes now turn their attention to the outdoor season.
