Panthers sweep Regis

WESTON, Mass. - The Plymouth State College women's volleyball team had little trouble in defeating Regis College Saturday in three games, 15-2, 15-4, 15-9.

The victory was PSC's second straight and improves the Panthers to 15-9 overall.

Sophomore Carin LaValley (Northfield, NH) and freshman Bryce Budzinsky (Killingworth, Conn.) led the Panther attack. LaValley registered 13 kills, four service aces and five digs, while Budzinsky contributed 12 kills and two digs.

Sophomore setter Jessie O'Hearn (Tilton, NH) posted 33 assists and four blocks for PSC, and freshmen Becky Landry (Nashua, NH) and Sonia Trudell (Somersworth, NH) made four and three blocks, respectively.

PSC gets back into action Thursday (Oct. 19) at Foley Gymnasium against St. Joseph's College (7 p.m.), and faces Eastern Connecticut and Rhode Island College Saturday (Oct. 21) in a Little East Conference round-robin at RIC.
