DANBURY, Conn. - Plymouth State College opened the Little East Conference portion of its volleyball schedule Friday night with a 3-0 victory (30-19, 30-15, 30-21) over the University of Southern Maine in a Little East Conference round-robin at Western Connecticut State University's Feldman Arena.
The Panthers remained undefeated on the season (10-0), heading into the second day of the round-robin. PSC will take on arch-rival Keene State College and three-time defending LEC champion WCSU on Saturday.
Freshman Kelly Landry (Nashua, N.H.) led the Panthers with 12 kills and 17 digs. Junior Becky Landry (Nashua, N.H.) registered 11 kills and one block, and senior setter Jesse O'Hearn (Tilton, N.H.) had a strong night running the offense, posting 30 assists. Junior Amber Greenlaw (Gilford, N.H.) contributed to the Panther defense with 13 digs.
