PSC sweeps UMass Dartmouth

PLYMOUTH, N.H. - Plymouth State College knocked off the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth in three games Tuesday evening in Little East Conference women's volleyball action at Foley Gymnasium, 30-19, 30-9, 30-19.

The victory raises the Panthers' record this season to 18-4 overall and 4-1 in the LEC, while UMass-Dartmouth drops to 7-9 and 2-3.

Junior Becky Landry (Nashua, N.H.) led the Panthers with 18 kills and two services aces, while freshman Kelly Landry (Nashua, N.H.) and junior Joanna Brothers (Meredith, N.H.) chipped in with six kills each. Freshman Kim Krause (Pound Ridge, NY) added four kills and three service aces to help the Panther cause.

Senior setter Jesse O'Hearn (Tilton, N.H.) had 33 assists for PSC.

Plymouth State, which has won three out its last four matches, is idle until next Thursday, Oct. 17, when it travels to Beverly, Mass., for a non-conference match with Endicott College (7 p.m.).
