PLYMOUTH, N.H. - The first round of this year's Little East Conference weekly honors have been announced, and a Plymouth State University student-athlete received one of the top awards in women's volleyball.
Panther sophomore Kelly Landry (Nashua, N.H.) was chosen LEC Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for her performance in last weekend's Super 8 Invitational, hosted by PSU. Landry received the top LEC weekly honor twice as a freshman last season.
A 5'9" outside hitter, Landry was PSU's representative on the All-Tournament Team at the Super 8 Invitational. She led the Panthers to a 3-1 record in the tourney, registering a team-high 39 kills and an impressive .363 attack percentage. Landry also contributed 28 digs, six service aces and four blocks in the four matches, which included wins over Johnson and Wales (twice) and Western New England (once) and a loss to defending ECAC champion Coast Guard.
