Three PSU Womens Volleyball players named to All-Little East Conference Team
PLYMOUTH, N.H. - Three starters on the Plymouth State University women's volleyball team have been recognized as members of the 2005 All-Little East Conference Team. The announcement was made Monday by LEC Commissioner William M. Moore, and the teams were selected by the LEC's eight head coaches.
Senior middle hitter Becky Ciulla (Chelmsford, Mass.) earned top honors for the Panthers with selection as the LEC Offensive Player of the Year. Ciulla was joined on the All-LEC First Team by senior middle hitter Kelly Landry (Nashua, N.H.) and senior setter Amanda Bagwell (Riverside, R.I.) Landry is a four-time All-LEC First Team selection, while Bagwell is a three-time First Team honoree and Ciulla has been on the First Team the past two years.
A 5'9" middle hitter, Ciulla (left) led the LEC in kills
(499) and ranked second in hitting percentage (.278). She also
contributed 154 blocks, which was second in the league, and her 491
digs ranked fifth. Ciulla owns the PSU single-season and career
records for blocks (331), and ranks fourth on the Panther career
list with 1,159 kills, despite playing only three years at Plymouth
State after transferring from Eastern Connecticut.
