More post-season honors for PSU Volleyball seniors

            PLYMOUTH, N.H. - More season honors have come in this week for the two senior captains of the Plymouth State University women's volleyball team.

PSU Volleyball captains Eliza Badeau (L) and Brianna Kleckner             Senior Eliza Badeau (Foster, R.I./Ponaganset) earned Honorable Mention on the NCAA Division III New England All-Region Team as selected by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.  In addition, Badeau and classmate Brianna Kleckner (Terryville, Conn.) were selected to participate in the New England Women's Volleyball Association's Senior Classic. The event is this Sunday, Nov. 15 in the Clark Athletic Center at the University of Massachusetts Boston, with a skills event at 10:30 a.m. and the match at 1:00 p.m.

            Badeau and Kleckner were recognized earlier this week with Little East Conference post-season honors, as Badeau was named Co-Offensive Player of the Year and First Team All-Star, and Kleckner was selected to the All-LEC Second Team. Both have set school records this season and have been All-Tournament Team selections, and they have led PSU to a program-record 31 victories and its eighth straight post-season berth.

            Plymouth State, 31-5 overall, is hosting the ECAC New England Tournament semifinals and championship this Saturday at Foley Gymnasium.  The top-seeded and defending champion Panthers will face fourth-seeded Western New England College in the first semifinal at 12 noon, and third-seeded Coast Guard Academy will meet seventh-seeded Colby-Sawyer College in the second semifinal at 2:00 p.m.  The semifinal winners will play for the championship Saturday at 5:00 p.m.
