Jones, D.Stoodley named LEC Players of the Week
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Two Plymouth State University women's volleyball players were honored Monday with top weekly honors from the Little East Conference for their performances in a pair of Panther victories last week.
Sophomore Allie Jones was named LEC Women's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week, and senior Danielle Stoodley was selected LEC Defensive Player of the Week. They were instrumental in PSU posting a non-conference win over Rivier College last Tuesday and an LEC victory Saturday at UMass Dartmouth.

A 5'11" outside hitter, Jones averaged 3.33 kills per set with a .375 attack percentage (20-5-40) and contributed five service aces. She recorded 11 kills and two aces in Tuesday's 3-0 win over Rivier, and she added nine kills and three aces in the victory over UMD. Jones ranks second in the Little East in service aces (0.53 per set) and ranks second on the team in kills (2.26 per set).
A 5'5" libero, Stoodley recorded at least 20 digs in both Panther matches, collecting 20 in the win over Rivier and 21 vs. UMD. Stoodley averaged 6.83 digs per set for the week, and ranks third in the conference for the season with 4.33 digs per set.
PSU, 6-5 overall and 1-1 in LEC matches, plays a home match on Tuesday at Foley Gymnasium against Granite State rival Colby-Sawyer College (6:00 p.m.)
