Cassie Pelton joined the Plymouth State women’s volleyball coaching staff in the fall of 2014 after a solid four-year career as a DS/L for the Panthers. Pelton finished her career with 1,119 digs, good enough for ninth place in the PSU record books. Her 2.85 digs/set rank 10th.
Pelton served as a captain her senior year, while winning the team’s prestigious Panther Award. She was also named the recipient of the Dorothy ‘Dot' Diehl Award by the PSU Athletic Department for exhibiting leadership for the advancement of women's equity in sports and physical education. An Applied Health Fitness major, Pelton helped create PSU’s off-season training program, conducted fitness testing and successfully added strength, speed, quickness and explosive power to her teammates.
Pelton has served as a coach for four years for the Lakes Region Junior Olympic Club, based in Meredith, N.H.
