Gregg Simmons is in his first season as an assistant coach with the Plymouth State cross country programs in 2018.
Simmons graduated cum laude from Centenary College of Louisiana with degrees in Neurscience and Biology.
Simmons was a four-year member and three-time captain of the cross country team, while also competing as a triathlete, where he was a four-time collegiate national qualifier, four-time top-20 regional finisher and finished second in the 2016 US Open Sprint Triathalon.
Simmons has also been involved with competitive swimming and cycling.
He spent 2013-15 as an assistant coach with KOTR XC, and also worked as an assistant with YouthFit XC from 2013-14.
Simmons is currently enrolled in Plymouth State's Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
