PSU Athletics holds third annual Senior Dinner

Senior student-athletes celebrated for their accomplishments

            PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Plymouth State University department of athletics held its third annual Student-Athlete Senior Banquet in Heritage Hall on Monday night.

            Director of Athletics, Kim Bownes '08G, welcomed the group, praising them for their accomplishments on the field of competition, as well as in the classroom, before introducing a number of special guests in attendance including President Donald Birx and his family.

            Director of Development and Major Gifts, John Scheinman, gave an address highlighting the importance of philanthropy. He reflected on the life of Carleton Parish '71, whose legacy of giving back to Plymouth State included nearly one million dollars donated to student scholarships and other university projects including the building of Hanaway Rink and ALLWell North.

            Senior student-athletes were presented with PSU Athletics stoles to be worn at graduation, along with a blanket featuring the PSU Athletics logo.

            Other special guests of the evening included Vice President for University Advancement Paula Lee Hobson, Director of Marketing Communication and Creative Services Marlin Collingwood, Director of Events and Conferences Tamara Cocchiarella '11, former Director of Athletics John P. Clark '71, Chair of the Health and Human Performances department Linda Levy '04 CAGS and President's Council member and local businesswoman Patti Biederman '76.
