Across the street from the PE Center is the Savage Welcome Center & Ice Arena, which features Hanaway Rink, home to the men's and women's ice hockey teams. Opened in 2010, the facility seats 860 and serves the student body with academic and recreational opportunities, as well as community programming.

Hanaway Rink is a full, NHL-sized hockey rink (200' x 85') and includes two varsity locker rooms, four visiting locker rooms, three officials locker rooms and an Athletic Training clinic. The Savage Welcome Center has space for 160-200 guests and hosts various events throughout the year, while the Common Man Room overlooks the rink and can be reserved for alumni events and private functions.

Hanaway Rink also hosts broomball, curling, public skating and youth hockey leagues and tournaments.

Facilities Pet Policy: To preserve the health, safety, and welfare of our students and patrons, no pets/animals of any kind are permitted inside or at any on-campus athletic venues. This restriction includes all practice and competition surfaces, both artifical and natural. Dogs are permitted on any paved areas. Service animals will be permitted.
