Arold Field
Fieldhouse Rd.
Holderness, NHÂ 03245
Â
The field directly in front of the PE Center is Paul E. Arold Field, the home of PSU's men's and women's soccer. Arold Field features permanent bleachers, an LEDÂ scoreboard, a public address system and multi-tiered press box. The enclosed field is large enough to have an adjacent practice area.
Â
The field is named after Paul E. Arold '63, who coached football and wrestling at Plymouth State and made many vital contributions to the campus community during his tenure as a student, alumnus and staff member. Arold is credited with conceiving the idea for the Robert Frost Award, one of PSU's most celebrated traditions. He received PSU's Distinguished Alumni Service Award posthumously in 1972. In recognition of his accomplishments, the USNH Board of Trustees authorized that the playing area in front of the PE Center be named the Paul E. Arold Athletic Field.
Â
Facilities Pet Policy: To preserve the health, safety, and welfare of our students and patrons, no pets/animals of any kind are permitted inside or at any on-campus athletic venues. This restriction includes all practice and competition surfaces, both artifical and natural. Dogs are permitted on any paved areas. Service animals will be permitted.
Â
This policy has been established to provide for the health and safety of Plymouth State University students, faculty, staff, and visitors; for the protection, efficient use, and enjoyment of the University's property; and for the responsible management and operation of the athletics event, venue and the University.
