John C. Foley Gymnasium is the home of PSU's men's and women's basketball and volleyball teams. The spacious, 1,600-seat gymnasium has LED scoreboards at both ends and two elevated press boxes, including accommodations for a television crew for live broadcasts. In addition to hosting basketball and volleyball contests, Foley Gym has also welcomed NHIAA Basketball and Volleyball Tournament contests, as well as other university and community assemblies such as convocation, high school concerts and graduations.

The facility is named after one of the legendary figures at Plymouth State. John C. Foley enjoyed a career that spanned 30 years, including roles as an English professor, basketball and baseball coach, Chair of the Athletic Department and Dean of Instruction, before moving on to become Dean of the College. The Conning Tower, PSU's yearbook, was dedicated to Foley three times. In 1981 he was voted into the Athletic Hall of Fame at Saint Anselm, his alma mater, and he was an inaugural member of the Plymouth State Athletic Hall of Fame class of 1985. An inspiring teacher and influential coach, Foley retired from PSU in 1977-78.
