The PSU Natatorium is a 25-yard, six-lane pool that is home to the PSU men's and women's swimming teams. The pool has a state-of-the-art electronic Colorado timing system with a large wall display, two pace-clocks, a full-wall PSU record board, Durafirm diving stands with maxi model B one-meter and three-meter diving boards, and a 300-seat balcony for spectators.
 
In addition to PSU meets, the pool is used for a number of swim classes, including scuba, and is open for approximately 20 hours of weekly lap swimming for PSU students, faculty, staff and local community members (with purchase of a Pool membership).
 
Facilities Pet Policy: To preserve the health, safety, and welfare of our students and patrons, no pets/animals of any kind are permitted inside or at any on-campus athletic venues. This restriction includes all practice and competition surfaces, both artifical and natural. Dogs are permitted on any paved areas. Service animals will be permitted.
 
This policy has been established to provide for the health and safety of Plymouth State University students, faculty, staff, and visitors; for the protection, efficient use, and enjoyment of the University's property; and for the responsible management and operation of the athletics event, venue and the University.

 
Community Usage: 

  • Anyone using the PE Center facilities must present their active PSU ID or receipt of semester pool membership to lifeguards or other staff who ask.
  • Community members, including alumni, must purchase a pool membership to use the pool during scheduled Open Lap sessions.
  • To be added to the email list for upcoming closure notifications, please provide Aquatics Manager Anne Barbeau (anne.barbeau@plymouth.edu) with your email address.

 
Pool Memberships:

  • Pool memberships are required for everyone who does not have an active PSU Faculty, Staff or Student ID. This includes alumni.
  • Pool memberships are purchased for the semester at a cost of $100. You may purchase both Fall and Spring semesters for $200.
  • There are no discounts for partial semesters. There are no refunds should you decide to stop using the pool.
  • Individuals must be 19 years of age or older to purchase a membership.
  • Pool membership allows access to the pool and locker room facilities only.
  • Memberships are non-transferable. No one else may use your membership.
  • Each year, spouses of current faculty/staff can use the online form above to receive a complimentary membership. They must enter the spouse's PSU ID number and their department to avoid paying for the pass.

Pool Guidelines:
  • The pool is for lap swimming only.
  • Dependent children between the ages of 3 and 18 are allowed to use the pool, but must be accompanied by a parent who has a valid PSU ID or pool membership.
  • Children may use a lane for lap swimming. If a lane is open, a young child can be in the open lane with a parent.
  • Everyone is expected to shower before entering the pool.
  • No guests, including adult family members, are allowed to accompany membership holders or those with a valid PSU ID. This includes friends of children.
  • No non-employee of the PSU Athletics Department can use the pool to provide lessons.
  • PE Center facilities other than the pool are for the exclusive use of current PSU students, faculty and staff only.
Whenever the University is closed - for holiday, delayed opening or cancellation of classes due to inclement weather or an emergency - the PE Center (including the pool) will also be closed. Community Swim Hours:
(Offered Only During PSU's Fall and Spring Semesters)
(NOTE - Community Swim begins Sep. 8 for the Fall 2026 semester)
Morning:     Monday - Friday   7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.
Lunch:     Monday, Wednesday, Friday   11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.
Evening:     Monday - Thursday   6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
