Panthers host Eastern Conn. Saturday for Senior Day

            MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Middlebury College wrapped up its regular season with a 4-0 win over Plymouth State University Wednesday afternoon in non-conference men's soccer action.

            Middlebury threatened several times early, finally breaking through at the 35:05 mark with the second of the year from Noah Goss-Woliner. Harper Williams took a corner kick that was headed by Deklan Robinson before being stopped by PSU freshman keeper Felix Lindeberg. Goss-Woliner was there and scored on the rebound as his shot hit Lindeberg and found the back of the net.

            The Panthers of Middlebury made it a 2-0 game with just 1:20 left in the first half. Philip Skayne found Alex Davidson for a quick touch in the box, resulting in his second tally of the season.

            Middlebury made it 3-0 six minutes into the second half when Sam Peisch fed Adam Glaser on the right side for his team-leading ninth goal of the season. Greg Conrad scored his fourth of the year at the 58-minute mark, converting a cross from Chris Ivsin to make it a 4-0 final.

            Ethan Collins made a pair of saves to earn his fifth shutout of the season as Middlebury finished with a 17-4 advantage in shots. Lindeberg finished the contest with five stops for Plymouth..

            PSU (5-7-3) returns home to host Eastern Connecticut State University Saturday on Senior Day in the season finale at Panther Field (5:00 p.m.)  Middlebury improved to 9-4-1 on the year and will be on the road for a NESCAC Quarterfinal game on Saturday.
