Box Score Schmidt pockets 15 saves on the day
Plymouth, N.H. – The Plymouth State University women's soccer team was unable to find the net in Saturday's Little East Conference showdown, losing 2-0 to the Colonials of Western Connecticut. Senior goalkeeper Annaliese Schmidt (Newmarket, N.H.) had another phenomenal day in the net, recording 15 saves on 17 shots.
The Panthers could not get a foot on the ball to cause much trouble for the Colonials. Plymouth was only able to get three shots off on goal, and Western Connecticut goalkeeper Jillian Fernandez held on for the shutout. Plymouth will look to start a new winning streak against Rhode Island College next Saturday with three games remaining in the regular season.
