Box Score Panthers advance to the 2nd round of the LEC tournament in a PK shootout
Dartmouth, Ma. – For the first time since 2001 the Plymouth State University women's soccer team will advance to the second round of the Little East Conference tournament after today's win against the Corsairs of UMass Dartmouth. Panther goalkeeper Annaliese Schmidt (Newmarket, N.H.) recorded her first ever tournament shutout, and advancement to the second round in a 4-3 PK shootout. Panther Adrianna Kippenberger (Wilmington, Ma.) knocked in the Panthers sixth attempt to secure the shootout victory. PSU will travel to play in the second round of the LEC tournament against the number one seed Warriors of Eastern Connecticut this Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
