DANBURY, Conn. – Senior
Cat Robbins (Franklin, Mass.) made six saves, but league-leading Western Connecticut State University handled Plymouth State University, 5-0, in a Little East Conference (LEC) women's soccer game at Westside Athletic Complex on Friday night.
The Panthers held WestConn, ranked fifth in the latest United Soccer Coaches Region I poll and receiving votes nationally, to just one score over the first half, but the hosts put the game away with a four-goal outburst over the final 45 minutes.
Plymouth State falls to 6-3-1 (2-2-1 LEC), while WestConn stays unbeaten at 12-0-0 (5-0-0 LEC).

How it Happened:
- While WestConn held an 11-4 advantage in shots over the first half, Robbins helped limit the damage.
- The hosts got on the board in the 35th minute after gathering a deflected ball in the box for a 1-0 lead.
- A pair of WestConn attackers teamed up three times in the second half, as freshman Suzana Imetovski (Seymour, Conn.) set up junior Myah Croze (Bristol, Conn.) to push the lead to 4-0.
- The hosts added a final tally in the 67th minute to account for the final score.
By the Numbers:
- WestConn finished with 11 shots on goal, with the Panthers firing eight on target.
- Robbins made six saves. The 11 shots she faced were the second most she's seen this season.
- Seniors Taylor Siewierski (Colebrook, N.H.) and Jordan Meier (Holderness, N.H.) led PSU with three shots apiece.
- Plymouth State has made the trip to Danbury for each of the last four meetings dating back to 2017.
