PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Western Connecticut State University scored a pair of goals 16 seconds apart as part of a three-goal first half to move past Plymouth State University, 6-0, in a Little East Conference (LEC) men's soccer game at Arold Field on Saturday afternoon.
The visitors got on the board in the 15th minute on a well-struck free kick, then scored twice in the 25th minute before tacking on in the second half.
Plymouth State drops to 1-8-0 (0-5-0 LEC), as WestConn improves to 12-3-0 (4-1-0 LEC).

How it Happened:
- WestConn took the early lead in the 15th minute when sophomore Kent Eannarino (Brookfield, Conn.) delivered a perfectly placed ball off a set piece from just outside the box on the left side to the top right corner.
- The visitors doubled the lead ten minutes later when sophomore Franz Muhaj (Bridgeport, Conn.) sent a cross through traffic from the goal line that made its way to freshman Lorenzo Lauria (New Haven, Conn.) who buried it into the open net.
- Eannarino struck again 16 seconds later to make it 3-0.
- WestConn added three second half goals to put the game out of reach.
By the Numbers:
- The visitors held an 8-2 edge in corners.
- Sophomore Nicolas Cornejo (Durham, N.H.) made six saves in goal for the Panthers.
- WestConn has won each of the last five meetings between the two teams.
