SALEM, Mass. – Plymouth State University won its second straight match by a 6-3 score on Saturday, topping Salem State University in the Little East Conference (LEC) opener at the Central Campus Tennis Courts.

Tessa LaBarre (North Smithfield, R.I.) to win at No. 2 doubles, then both secured singles wins as well.
Plymouth State improves to 2-0 (1-0 LEC), while Salem State falls to 0-3 (0-1 LEC).

How it Happened:
- After the Vikings were forced to forfeit at No. 3 doubles, Miller and LaBarre teamed up for a dominating 8-1 win at No. 2 as the Panthers jumped out to a 2-0 lead.
- Salem State salvaged one point after holding on for an 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles.
- The hosts gave up another point on a forfeit at No. 6 singles and LaBarre pushed the advantage to 4-1 with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 3 singles.
- Freshman Elena Cardoso (Hudson, Mass.) secured the win with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 4 and Miller accounted for the Panthers' sixth team point with a 6-3, 6-1 victory at No. 5.
