BOSTON, Mass. – Junior
Connor Wilcox (Colchester, Conn.) helmed the Plymouth State University men's cross country team, helping the Panthers to a sixth place finish at the Suffolk Invitational in Franklin Park on Saturday.
Wilcox got out aggressively with the front pack to start with a 4:39 1.5k split before crossing the line in 33rd out of 274 runners in a season-best time of 26:42.8.
The Panthers took sixth overall, competing without their top three runners, marking the fifth consecutive top-eight team finish while only falling behind on Little East Conference (LEC) competitor in UMass Dartmouth and outpacing rivals Southern Maine, Keene State and East Region foe Suffolk.

How it Happened:
- Wilcox got out fast to take a top-35 finish in a season-best time of 26:42.8.
- Junior Dylan Flewelling (Oakland, Maine) was right behind him with a season best time of 26:49.2.
- The freshman duo of Carson Jones (Lebanon, N.H.) and Cooper O'Neil (Millbury, Mass.) took places within the top-65 in times of 27:28.6 and 27:30.3, respectively.
- Sophomore Jackson Diglio (Goshen, N.Y.) ran a season-best time of 27:38.6, while classmate Luke Cloutier (Waterboro, Maine) was right on his heels with a time of 27:40.6.
- Sophomore Dan Daschbach-Eaton (Exeter, N.H.) and graduate student Colin Moar (Annandale, Va.) capped off the day for the Panthers' top-seven with times of 27:48.5 and 27:51.3.
