Mike Olson (Sutton, Mass.) and junior
Jacob Gallaher (Gambrills, Md.) notched All-East Region honors after leading the Plymouth State University men's cross country team to a seventh-place finish at the NCAA Division III East Regional Championships at Hopkinton Fair Grounds on Saturday.
Olson went out fast with the chase pack and finished 22nd overall in a time of 25:19.76. Gallaher was not too far behind as he took his best finish in his career at 34th with a time of 25:53.81. Both runners earned All-East Region honors when they placed in the top-35 in the race.
Plymouth State finished seventh as a team for their best historic finish at the NCAA East Regional and ahead of all other Little East Conference (LEC) competitors.

How it Happened:
- Olson earned All-East Region for his 22nd place finish in 25:19.76.
- Gallaher also snagged an All-East Region nod after taking 34th in 25:53.81.
- The duo of junior Connor Wilcox (Colchester, Conn.) and senior Michael Barrett (Hartford, Conn.) both finished neck-and-neck with Wilcox finishing in a career best 26:29.32 and Barrett behind him at 26:29.78.
- Junior Dylan Flewelling (Oakland, Maine) closed out the top-five for Plymouth State, crossing the line in a season-best 26:34.70.
- Freshman Cooper O'Neil (Millbury, Mass.) and sophomore Dan Daschbach-Eaton (Exeter, N.H.) finalized the day with times of 26:50.05 and 27:40.94.

- Olson will wait in anticipation for his name to be called for an individual bid to the NCAA Division III Championships when the field is announced on Sunday (Nov. 12) at 3:00 p.m. in a press release posted on NCAA.com.
