HOPKINTON, N.H. – Senior Emily Philbrook (Penacook, N.H.) led the Plymouth State University women's cross country team to a 19th-place finish at the NCAA Division III East Regional Championship at Hopkinton Fair Grounds on Saturday.
 
Philbrook took near the front through the first mile before finishing 68th overall in 23:53.78. The finish was the best of her career at NCAA Regionals.
 
The Panthers finished with a 19th-place team finish, the program's second best after taking 14th in 2021.

How it Happened:

• Philbrook finished first for the Panthers with a top-70 showing in a time of 23:53.78.
• Freshman Rose Karow (South Yarmouth, Mass.) took a spot in the top-100 in a time of 24:47.97, while senior Lexi Marcolini (Milford, Mass.) crossed the line in 25:19.77.
• Juniors Abby Snow (Grantham, N.H.) and Niki Monoxelos (Litchfield, N.H.) capped the top-five for the Panthers. Snow crossed the line in 25:40.26, while Monoxelos smashed a huge personal best by almost two minutes for a time of 26:58.99.
• Freshman Abby Bergeron (Essex Jct., Vt.) was on the heels of Monoxelos with a time of 27:02.06.
• Sophomore Isabel Costa (Burrillville, R.I.) completed the 6k course in 27:22.88.
