PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Plymouth State University women's basketball defeated the Colby-Sawyer College Chargers, 47-31, in a non-conference game in Foley Gymnasium Tuesday night.
The Panthers led start to finish, defensively holding the Chargers to 13 second half points while spreading the ball around for an overall, well-rounded team victory.

Ashley Stephens (Pembroke, N.H.) and senior
Lauren Keller (Fort Morgan, Colo.) each recorded nine points, while junior
Bri Wilcox (Londonderry, N.H.) added eight points of her own. Graduate student
Lea Crompton (Dunbarton, N.H.) recorded seven points in the winning effort.
The Panthers are off to their best start since the 2019-20 season. Plymouth State improves to 3-1, while Colby-Sawyer falls to 1-4.

How it Happened:
- The Panthers opened with a 5-0 lead two minutes into action.
- Plymouth State extended to a double-digit advantage at the 1:48 mark in the first quarter, 14-4.
- The Chargers closed the gap to seven points (15-8) to keep the game close after one.
- Behind a 7-0 run midway through the second quarter, the Panthers went ahead 24-13.
- Colby-Sawyer recorded its last five points of the half to cut the deficit to 26-18 as the teams went into the locker room.
- The Panthers held Colby-Sawyer to one field goal in the third quarter as the team extended its lead to 37-22 after three.
- Plymouth State scored the first eight points of the fourth quarter as the team cruised to a comfortable third win of the season.
