PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Plymouth State University women's lacrosse and men's soccer teams were recognized on Friday when the Little East Conference (LEC) announced its 2022-23 Team Academic Award winners.
The LEC Team Academic Award is presented to the team with the highest grade point average for the current academic year among each of the league's 21 championship sport offerings.
The Plymouth State men's soccer team earned the honor after posting a combined team GPA of 3.58, while women's lacrosse teamed up for a winning mark of 3.51. The women's lacrosse squad has won the award every year since its inception in 2019-20.
Additionally, the women's basketball (0.06), men's lacrosse (0.10) and women's volleyball (0.12) teams were all within striking distance of the conference leaders in their respective sports.
