WBB: RIC gets past Panthers in LEC play

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Plymouth State University women's basketball team fell to Rhode Island College, 70-47, in a Little East Conference (LEC) matchup at The Murray Center on Saturday afternoon.

Junior Hailey Malozzi (Maynard, Mass.) exploded in the opening minutes with seven straight points to launch the Panthers to an early 8-4 lead. RIC shook off the slow start to pull ahead and the Anchorwomen would not let up.

Junior Raegan Peck (Dudley, Mass.) provided a spark, draining three-of-five three-pointers to finish with 11 points in the setback.

Plymouth State dips to 3-9 (0-4 LEC), while Rhode Island College bumps up to 9-5 (4-1 LEC).
