DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Sophomore
George Bergin (Brentwood, N.H.) scored his third goal of the season, but the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth used two second-half goals to propel themselves past Plymouth State University, 3-1, in a Little East Conference (LEC) men's soccer game at Cressy Field on Saturday afternoon.
The Panthers trailed 2-0 midway through the second half until Bergin headed home a cross from senior
Hunter Holland (Hampton, N.H.) to cut the deficit in half. The Corsairs responded with an insurance goal eight minutes later to account for the final score.
Plymouth State falls to 4-9-1 (1-3-1 LEC), while the Corsairs move to 7-7-1 (3-2-1 LEC).
