PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Plymouth State University Athletics Department and the Marketing Association of Plymouth State (MAPS) have announced the dates for the ninth annual
Teddy Bear Toss, a fundraising event benefiting pediatric patients at Dartmouth Health Children's.
The Teddy Bear Toss will take place during the women's ice hockey game against Salve Regina University on Friday (Dec. 5, 6 p.m.), and the men's ice hockey game against Salem State University on Saturday (Dec. 6, 6 p.m.).
Fans are encouraged to bring a new stuffed animal with tags to toss onto the ice after Plymouth State scores its first goal. Teddy bears will also be available for purchase at the rink. If the Panthers do not score, all stuffed animals will be tossed onto the ice at the conclusion of the game.
All stuffed animals, along with proceeds from on-site teddy bear sales and additional donations, will be collected and delivered to Dartmouth Health Children's. The annual event has generated more than 10,000 donated stuffed animals for pediatric patients since its inception.
