MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Senior
Sean Quinn (Norwood, Mass.) picked up significant postseason recognition on Wednesday as D3football.com announced its regional award winners.
Quinn earned Second Team All-Region 1 Offense honors at tackle and is now eligible for D3football.com All-America consideration, which will be announced in two weeks.
A cornerstone of the Panthers' offensive line, Quinn helped Plymouth State rush for more than 2,100 yards and score 332 points – both the second-highest totals in the MASCAC. The line also allowed the second-fewest sacks and tackles for loss in the league. Quinn personally surrendered just one sack all season.
Plymouth State finished 8-2 (7-2 MASCAC), earning a share of the regular-season title in a three-way tie – the program's second since joining the league in 2013.
The 77 All-Region honorees were selected in voting conducted by Region 1 sports information directors and D3football.com staff. A total of 163 nominations were submitted by full Division III member schools.
