FB: Fleming honored on 2025 MASCAC Sportsmanship Team

With Contributions from the MASCAC

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Senior Ryan Fleming (Boxborough, Mass.) was one of 64 student-athletes honored by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) on Thursday, as the league announced its 2025 Fall Sportsmanship Teams.

The MASCAC Sportsmanship Team is intended to recognize one student-athlete from each team in every sport who best exemplifies the values outlined in the MASCAC Sportsmanship Statement, regardless of their overall performance or season statistics.

"I commend the student-athletes from across the conference who were selected to the 2025 MASCAC Fall Sportsmanship Team," said Commissioner Angela Baumann. "These student-athletes have demonstrated exemplary sportsmanship, a core principle of the MASCAC, and we are proud to recognize them for upholding the highest standards of conduct and respect."

Fleming, a 6-5 defensive lineman, appeared in all ten games for the Panthers, finishing the season with 16 tackles (nine solo), 3.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, two hurries, one pass breakup and a forced fumble, while providing senior leadership on the defensive line.

Led by 23-year head coach Paul Castonia, Plymouth State finished 8-2 (7-2 MASCAC), earning a share of the regular-season title in a three-way tie – the program's second since joining the league in 2013.
