WBB: Malozzi notches double-double in win over VTSU Castleton

CASTLETON, Vt. – Junior Hailey Malozzi (Maynard, Mass.) notched her third double-double of the season to help lead Plymouth State University to a 72-65 win over Vermont State University Castleton in a Little East Conference (LEC) women's basketball game at Glenbrook Gymnasium on Wednesday evening.

With the game tied at 47-47 early in the fourth quarter, Malozzi got to the basket and Plymouth State would lead the rest of the way. Graduate student Sabrina Vlahovic (New Hope, Pa.) scored from the interior as the Panthers extended to a 56-49 lead midway through the frame. The Spartans pulled to within three on multiple occasions, but each time Plymouth State answered back, and PSU drained five-of-six free throws down the stretch to hold on for the league win.
