KEENE, N.H. – Senior
Rose Karow (South Yarmouth, Mass.) led the way with a 13th-place individual finish as the Plymouth State University women's cross country team placed eighth overall and finished ahead of five Little East Conference (LEC) teams at the Keene State Invitational at Owl Athletic Complex on Saturday.
Karow completed the 6K course in 22:31.7 to finish 13th overall and second among LEC runners – just five seconds off her personal-best time of 22:26.6. Freshman
Maya Sanzone (South Berwick, Maine) continued her strong rookie campaign, shaving more than 20 seconds off her most recent time to place 42nd overall, while sophomore
Madison Geddes (Penacook, N.H.) and junior
Mia Sweeney (Plymouth, Mass.) also ran strong races.
The race featured a field of 244 runners representing 29 teams, with Plymouth State placing eighth overall and ahead of five LEC rivals: Keene State, Southern Maine, Eastern Connecticut State, Rhode Island College and UMass Dartmouth.
