PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Three Plymouth State University varsity athletic teams were honored on Friday as the Little East Conference (LEC) announced its 2025-26 Team Academic Award winners.
The LEC Team Academic Award is presented to the team with the highest grade point average in the current academic year among each of the league's 24 championship sport offerings.
The Plymouth State men's and women's lacrosse and men's outdoor track & field teams claimed honors. PSU, Eastern Connecticut, Keene State and Southern Maine were all tied for the second-most recipients in the league, just one behind VTSU Castleton.
Additionally, the women's indoor track & field (0.02), women's swimming (0.05), men's indoor track & field (0.06), softball (0.06), women's outdoor track & field (0.07), women's soccer (0.07), and women's ice hockey (0.08) teams were all just behind the conference leaders in their respective sports.
