KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the 12th straight year, the Plymouth State University men's soccer program has been recognized by United Soccer Coaches for its academic excellence as the organization announced its Team Academic Award winners on Friday afternoon.
 
Plymouth State was the only men's program in the Little East Conference (LEC) to receive the honor. A total of 777 soccer programs (326 men, 451 women) from all three NCAA Divisions were honored after posting team grade point averages of 3.00 or higher. Under the direction of longtime head coach Rob Wright, the Panthers combined for a 3.18 team GPA.
 
Plymouth State went 4-12-1 last fall, remaining in contention for a playoff berth into the final week of the season. The Panthers open the 2026 campaign at home against New England College on Sep. 1 (5:15 p.m.).
