Zach Casinelli intially joined the Plymouth State University Sports Medicine team in 2015 as a graduate assistant athletic trainer and became a full-time athletic trainer in 2017. In January 2020 he left campus to fill an assistant athletic trainer position at St. Anselm College, but returned to PSU as the Associate Athletic Trainer for the start of the 2021-22 academic year.

Originally from Warwick, R.I., Casinelli graduated with his BS in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine from Quinnipiac University in the Spring of 2015. Upon graduation, he was hired as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at PSU while earning his MS degree in Athletic Training/Higher Education. In his time as a graduate assistant Casinelli worked with the football, women's ice hockey, men's basketball and cross-country programs, and also ran rehabilitation clinics for off-season athletes.

In his current role, Casinelli cares for the football and men's and women's track & field teams. He has also worked with the Seacoast United Soccer Club, Concord High School and Belmont High School as a per diem ATC during his time in New Hampshire.

His clinical interests include, but are not limited to the implementation of PRI-based practice for injury evaluation and treatment/rehabilitation, the use of instrument assisted soft-tissue mobilization (IASTM) techniques. Casinelli is certified in the M1 Graston technique and using the Burdenko Conditioning method in the rehabilitation of his athletes.

Casinelli is a BOC certified athletic trainer and licensed in the state of New Hampshire.
