Andy Theriault was named interim baseball coach on April 7, following the resignation of former head coach Ryan McIntosh.
 
Theriault brings more than 15 years of coaching experience spanning travel, prep, collegiate, and summer baseball. Previously on staff with the Panthers from 2019-21, he served as pitching coach while assisting in recruiting and player development. His coaching resume also includes stops at Brewster Academy, Saint Joseph's College of Maine and Gordon College before returning to Plymouth as an assistant in 2026.
 
Theriault enjoyed significant success with the Brockton Rox of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL) from 2017-20. As pitching coach in 2017, he oversaw a staff that led the league in ERA, shutouts and batting average against while winning a league-best 32 games. He later transitioned to hitting coach before being promoted to manager, leading the Rox to the leageu's top record in 2019 and earning All-Star Game managerial honors.
 
A native of Wolfeboro, Theriault was a standout multi-sport athlete at Kingswood Regional High School, earning All-State honors in both baseball and football. He continued his playing career at Castleton University before transferring to Southern New Hampshire University, where he earned a degree in Business Administration.
 
"We are confident in Andy's leadership and experience to guide our program during this transition," said Director of Athletics Kim Bownes. "He has a strong understanding of Plymouth State baseball and a proven track record of developing student-athletes and building competitive teams."
 
"My family and I are extrememly excited to be rejoining the Plymouth State University community," said Theriault. "I look forward to guiding the baseball program to the standards expected of us by all those who have worn the uniform and called PSU home. Roll State!"
