Kathy Peverly took over the Plymouth State women's tennis program as head coach starting in June 2022. She led the team to three consecutive six-win seasons and LEC Tournament appearances during her first three seasons, including a semifinal run in 2024.
 
The 2024 team went 4-4 in the LEC for the third straight year to finish tied for fourth in the league standings. PSU hosted fifth-seeded Salem State in the opening round and advanced to the semifinals with a 5-2 victory efore falling to top-seeded and eventual champion UMass Boston. It was the team’s 11th straight postseason appearance.
 
In 2023, Plymouth State went 6-7 and 4-4 in the LEC to earn the No. 5 seed for the LEC Tournament. The Panthers also finished 4-4 in league play during Peverly’s first season in 2022, earning the No. 5 seed and advancing to the LEC Tournament.
 
Peverly has been around the sport of tennis since childhood, spending time as head coach at Moultonborough Academy and Inter-Lakes High School while remaining an active player herself. She served as girls' varsity tennis coach at Inter-Lakes from 2007-12, earning the first banner for the program after finishing as runner-up in the 2008 NHIAA Tournament for Class M-S. Prior to that, she spent three years leading the Moultonborough Academy girls' program from 2004-06.
 
Peverly has served as a club representative to the U.S. Tennis Association (USTA) and New Hampshire Women's Interclub Tennis League (NHWITL) since 2004, helping grow participation in indoor women's tennis and introducing and mentoring players in the competitive travel tennis league. She also spent 11 years as a captain at the 3.0 and 3.5 USTA levels, advancing to districts and sectionals.
 
She has a decade of experience assisting the local tennis pro in Meredith and Gilford and workin with local club youth tennis programs. She spent five years as a tennis instructor with the Meredith Parks & Recreation Department and served as director of the Rockbottom Annual Invitational Tennis Tournament from 2007-19.
 
Peverly has served on the board of Advantage Kids, a nonprofit dedicated to introducing New Hampshire youth to the benefits of tennis and yoga, since 2019. She has also volunteered with ACEing Autism, helping children with autism benefit from the social connections and fitness associated with affordable tennis programming.
 
Peverly has been the Social Tennis Mixed Doubles Coordinator at Gilford Hills Tennis and Fitness Club for 20 years. She also works for PSU's Office of Residential Life as the Housing Coordinator.
