SALEM, Mass. - Sophomore middle hitter
Eliza Badeau (Foster, R.I.) recorded 12 kills and
five blocks Tuesday evening to lead Plymouth State University's
women's volleyball team to an easy three-game sweep over Salem
State College in non-conference action at Twohig Gymnasium.
The Panthers posted 30-20 and 30-21 decisions in the first two
games, then put the match away with a 30-15 victory in game
three. PSU won for the eighth time in the last nine outings,
improving to 19-7 overall, while Salem State fell to 1-16.
Sophomore Megan Elliott (West Haven, Conn.) had
one of her best performances of the season for the Panthers, making
seven kills, a team-high three service aces and three digs.
Freshman reserve setter Sara Cady (Holliston,
Mass.) got an opportunity to play and recorded 18 assists.
PSU wraps up the regular season this Friday and Saturday at the
Brandeis Tournament in Waltham, Mass. The Little East
Conference Tournament begins next Tuesday, and the Panthers will
have a home match at Foley Gymnasium against an opponent to be
determined.
