PLYMOUTH, N.H. - The Plymouth State University
women's volleyball team celebrated Senior Night on Tuesday evening
with an easy three-set sweep of Salem State College in a
non-conference match at Foley Gymnasium.
The Panthers won by set scores of 25-13, 25-5, and 25-9, improving
their overall record to 17-11, while the Vikings dropped their
sixth in a row and fell to 5-13.
Junior Carly Newton (Centerville,
Mass.) led the Panther offense with nine kills, while junior
Eliza Badeau (Foster, R.I.) added six kills and
five blocks.
The Panther seniors playing in their final home match were
Wendy Dziedzic (Nashua, N.H.), Michaela
Rupp (East Providence, R.I.), Sarah
Spears (Meredith, N.H.) and Regan Bowlen
(Portsmouth, N.H.).
PSU wraps up the regular season this Friday and Saturday at the
Bridgewater State (Mass.) Halloween Classic. The Panthers will face
Hunter College and Bridgewater State on Friday, and Keene State and
Worcester State on Saturday. The Little East Conference
Tournament begins next Tuesday.
Salem State returns home to host Framingham State on Thursday at
7:00 p.m.
