WATERVILLE VALLEY, N.H. - Senior Anthony Zanetti
(Ludlow, Mass.) recorded a goal and two assists and freshman goalie
Mike Manna (Framingham, Mass.) made 40 saves Monday evening to lead
Stonehill College to a 4-1 victory over Plymouth State University
in an ECAC Northeast Conference game at Waterville Valley Arena.
Stonehill led
1-0 after the first period on a goal four minutes into the game by
senior Rob Carpenter (Cohasset, Mass.). The Skyhawks pulled
away in the second period with three unanswered goals.
Zanetti scored a short-handed marker at 11:07, junior Paul
Reissfelder (Plymouth, Mass.) followed with an even-strength goal
at 12:53, and junior Brendan O'Brien (Braintree, Mass.) made it 4-0
with a power play goal during a 5-on-3 situation at 16:53.
The Panthers
did not give up, and came out and dominated the third period,
outshooting the Skyhawks 18-1 in the final 20 minutes.
Sophomore Dave Dufresne (Dracut, Mass.) put the
Panthers on the board with an unassisted goal at the 4:02 mark, but
Manna had the answer to the other 17 Panther shots the rest of the
way. PSU had three power play attempts in the third period,
including almost two minutes of a 5-on-3 advantage, but couldn't
put another one past Manna.

Kevin Crosby (Farmington, Conn.) came on for the
third period and needed to make only one save.
