WATERVILLE VALLEY, N.H. - Sophomore Kelsey Cone
(Manchester, Vt.) and freshmen Jaclyn Cleugh (Winnepeg, Mani.) and
Felicia Desorcie (Westford, Mass.) scored two goals apiece Friday
evening as Norwich University skated past Plymouth State
University, 11-0, in an ECAC Women's East Conference ice
hockey game at Waterville Valley Ice Arena.
Cone also
collected three assists and Cleugh added one for the Cadets, who
improved to 6-7-0 overall and 5-5-0 in the conference. Junior
Sophie Leclerc (Barre, Vt.) added a goal and three assists for the
winners.
Also scoring
for Norwich were junior Shannon Silver (Dover, N.H.), sophomore
Ashley Cassan (Winnipeg, Mani.) and freshmen Amanda Wilks
(Winnipeg, Mani.) and Melissa Rundlett (Saco, Maine).
Freshman goalie
Chiara Traversa (Torino, Italy) made 13 saves in the Norwich net to
post her second shutout of the season.
The Plymouth
State goalies faced quite a few pucks as Norwich out-shot the home
team, 63-13. Senior Lindsay
DeLorie (Holliston, Mass.) made 28 shots over the
first two periods, and sophomore Lauren Bonanni
(Ridgefield, Conn.) came on for the third period and played well,
making 24 saves.
Plymouth State
has another home game on Saturday, hosting Castleton at 2:00
p.m. Norwich continues its weekend road trip with a 1:00 p.m.
face-off at Southern Maine.
