Stoodley leads Panthers with eighth
double-double
MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Middlebury College
women's volleyball team moved to 16-6 overall Wednesday
evening with a 3-1 (25-13, 24-26, 25-22, 25-19) win over Plymouth
State University in Pepin Gym.
Megan Jarchow led the winning team with 15 kills, followed by Julia
Gibbs with 14 and Jane Handel with 10.
Sophomore outside hitter Casey Stoodley (Salem,
N.H.) led Plymouth State with her 12th double-double of
the season, reaching double figures in both kills (18) and digs
(16). Freshman Allie Jones (Canton, Mass.)
also contributed 10 kills, and classmate Kaitlyn
Tedeschi (Pascoag, R.I.) made six blocks.
Junior Danielle Stoodley (Salem, N.H.) contributed
a team-high 21 digs, matching her second-highest total for the
season, and junior setter Sarah Cady (Holliston,
Mass.) finished with 34 assists and 12 digs.
Plymouth State, 15-11 overall, travels to Eastern Connecticut State
University this Saturday for a Little East Conference match at 4:00
p.m. PSU is in third place in the LEC with a 3-1 mark, while
Eastern Conn. is looking for its first conference win of the season
(0-4).
