Regina University women's ice hockey team defeated Plymouth State
University, 6-2, in the ECAC Women's East Conference regular season
finale at Waterville Valley Arena.
The Seahawks
scored the first three goals of the game before PSU was able to get
on the scoreboard, and pulled away with the first three scores of
the second period. Salve heads into the post-season with a

finished off a three-goal weekend to give her a team-high four
goals for the season.
Freshman Rachel
Porter (Franklin, Mass.) scored her team-leading 10th
goal of the season on the power play to give the Seahawks an early
lead. Golden and sophomore Shannon Ellis (Colorado Springs,
Colo.) tallied goals just 11 seconds apart to lift Salve to a 3-0

seconds into the second period, and Chernisky and freshman Samantha
Zitzer (River Forest, Ill.) tacked on goals to make it 6-1.
Davis answered for PSU with another power play goal at 10:02, which
ended up being the final goal of the game as neither team could
score over the final 30 minutes.
Salve finished
with a 30-20 advantage in shots on goal. Freshman Ali
Muehlbronner (Glenside, Pa.) made 18 saves to record the win and
